Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen meatballs
  • 18 1/2 oz French onion soup
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 1 small yellow onion thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire
  • 1/2 cup Gruyère & Swiss cheese - shredded
  • 1 sprig fresh thyme (optional)

Method

  1. Add meatballs, onion, soup, soup mix, and Worcestershire to the crockpot.
  1. Cook on low for 2–3 hours or high for 1-1.5 hours until rich and glossy.
  1. Turn off heat and add cheese on top of your meatballs. Close the lid and let sit for 10-15 minutes so the cheese gets melty.

Notes

  • Serve over mashed potatoes, French bread, or enjoy as an appetizer for parties.
  • Fresh thyme adds a nice touch but is optional.
  • For a richer flavor, use homemade French onion soup instead of canned.
