Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb Italian chicken sausage
  • 1 small yellow onion
  • 1 cup grape tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cup dry orzo
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 jar Sonoma Lemon & Ricotta sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 ball burrata
  • chopped parsley (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  1. Pour dry orzo evenly into a baking dish. Arrange sausage, onions, and tomatoes on top.
  1. Pour chicken broth and pasta sauce over everything so the orzo is mostly submerged. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  1. Cover with foil and bake for 30–35 minutes, until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  1. Remove from oven. Tear the burrata and place it on top so it melts into the orzo. Finish with parsley if desired.
